This is a beautiful, soulful cabin atop a large Central Otago sheep station. It is a holiday home -- a meditation on what it means to retreat. We selected local materials where possible and embraced imperfections: knotty timbers, laundered linens, felted merino wool, unglazed tiles. We wanted the place to feel almost ‘undesigned;’ to represent the honest, beautiful act of hospitality that its owners genuinely offer to their guests.
